Hi, I am the owner and artist of Finnie Bird.
I love to create with my hands; my favorites being painting and quilting. I also do a lot of crocheting, and I love to try new things.
Florals are my go-to when painting. I use acrylics and will paint on anything possible! The colors of nature are so relaxing!
Constructing a quilt puts me in a zone. Choosing the fabrics, designing a layout, and watching it all come together piece by piece is mesmerizing!
We live in northern Michigan, in the woods with lots of wildlife and lakes nearby. It is very peaceful and beautiful and a great place to be creative!
Finn
Yes, there really was a Finnie! Finn was my long-haired German Shepherd and my best helper, but unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Finn in 2025. Finn was extremely smart and mastered many tricks.
The name Finnie Bird came to be from both Finn and my childhood nickname T-Bird. Finn loved to “place” when we were out on hikes and often looked like a bird when she
perched on a big rock.
Here is a slideshow of Finn and her many adventures. She was often joined by her best furry friend, Pigeon, and her little sister Lizzy. Pigeon was a mixed mutt, mostly potato. Unfortunately, we also had to say goodbye to Pidge in 2025. Both Finn and Pidge were10 years old and spent their whole lives playing together.
Our new pup Lizzy is also a long-haired German Shepherd, who joined our family in 2024. Even though Lizzy has big paws to fill, she is adorable and shows much promise.
